Their recent victory at the World Treatment Planning Championships affirms the fact that our doctors are the best in the business. Doctors Wooddell and Passaro were part of a team of six Anne Arundel County-based dental practitioners who won the first-ever Seattle Study Club World® Team Treatment Planning Championships.
At the end of an intense weeklong competition held during the Seattle Study Club organization’s annual symposium from January 20 through 25 in Scottsdale, Arizona, The Triple Crown Study Club was voted by its peers the distinguished honor of becoming the first-ever World Team Treatment Planning Champions.
The Triple Crown Study Club was formed in 2010 by Dr. David Mugford, a Crofton periodontist. Along with Drs. Mugford, Wooddell and Passaro, the club was represented at the event by:
– Dr. Mairead O’Reilly, an Annapolis orthodontist.
– Dr. Ed Zebovitz, a Bowie oral surgeon.
– Dr. John Davliakos, an Annapolis prosthodontist.
Twelve different teams from across the globe participated in the single-elimination event. Over the course of the competition, the teams were presented with a variety of cases. Using their collective skill sets, the doctors on each team engaged each other and the audience, discussing and debating the best possible treatments for some of the most complicated dental cases.
Each team that participated is an affiliate of Seattle Study Club, a Kirkland, Washington-based dental education organization that includes more than 250 study clubs around the world.
Seattle Study Club is dedicated to the advancement of team treatment planning and total case management as the ultimate tool for achieving the best outcomes in comprehensive care. Members have committed themselves to excellence in their profession and in the management of their practices.
